Plasma Transfusion: Current Status and Future Directions
The 2012 Bernard Fantus, MD Symposium, sponsored by The John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and the Illinois Association of Blood Banks, will be held on Marcy 14-15, 2012. This year's event celebrates the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the first U.S Hospital Blood Bank at Cook County Hospital. There are two portions to this event:

March 14, 6-8 pm: Dinner ($35) at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. This evening's discussion is "Problem Seen, Problem Solved; Bernard Fantus and Blood, John Elliot and Plasma."

March 15, 8 am to 5:15 pm: Symposium (Techs/Nurses $90; Physicians $100). Includes 10 educational sessions, a roundtable discussion, and lunch.
